2.20

述曰，此第二別示於住之中，初、令不住於相，次、令住無相，次、釋所由，後、總結，此初也。謂住色等生心者，便是有住，即著我、人，故不應住也。

The commentary says: This second [part] specifically presents what is within abiding. First, it causes them not to abide in lakṣaṇas; second, it causes them to abide in animitta; third, it explains the reason; finally, it concludes in summary. This is the first. Giving rise to a mind that abides in form and so forth constitutes having an abiding, which is grasping at self and person; therefore, one should not abide.
