2.28

述曰，此大文第四除疑示理也。於中初、令行無住施，次、正破其疑，次、別釋道理也。謂有疑曰：「前言不住生心者，云何為利眾生修行，而不名住於眾生事？」為斷此疑，故有此文。

The commentary says: This is the fourth major section, eliminating doubt and revealing the principle. Herein, first it causes them to practice non-abiding dāna; second, it directly refutes the doubt; third, it specifically explains the principle. A doubt arose, saying: "Earlier it was said to give rise to the mind without abiding; how can one cultivate practice to benefit sentient beings without that being called abiding in the affairs of sentient beings?" In order to sever this doubt, this text is presented.
