2.33

依無著者，經言「如來說忍辱波羅蜜」下第十三為忍苦故，即是離障住處中第九為離不能忍苦故，謂餘人不能忍發勤苦行此般若波羅蜜者，如來引己昔事，令能忍苦離不忍障也。就此文中有二，初、明三種忍以離不忍苦障，次、「須菩提！菩薩應離一切相」下，明不忍因緣者有三種苦。

According to Asaṅga, where the sūtra states below "The Tathāgata speaks of kṣāntipāramitā," this is the thirteenth [ādhāra], for the sake of enduring suffering. That is the ninth among the ādhāras for abandoning obstacles, which is for abandoning the obstacle of being unable to endure suffering. Because other people cannot endure generating diligent asceticism to practice this prajñāpāramitā, the Tathāgata cites his own past deeds to enable them to endure suffering and abandon the obstacle of non-endurance. Within this text there are two parts: first, clarifying the three kinds of patience in order to abandon the obstacle of the suffering of non-endurance; second, from "Subhūti! A bodhisattva should be free of all lakṣaṇas" onward, clarifying that the causes and conditions of non-endurance involve three kinds of suffering.
