2.6

述曰，此第二讚釋勝也。世親云，「如來說第一波羅蜜」者，謂十方諸佛同說，讚能為大因，故名為第一，顯此經勝餘經也。「非第一波羅蜜」者，謂非餘人所得也，無分別智證無我理，唯十方佛得，餘人不得故。「是名第一波羅蜜」者，唯佛所得也。無著釋云，第一波羅蜜者，謂般若於餘五中最勝故也。

The Commentary states: This is the second, praising and explaining its superiority. Vasubandhu says: 'the foremost pāramitā spoken of by the Tathāgata' means that all the Buddhas of the ten directions speak of it together, praising it as able to be the great cause, hence it is called 'foremost,' manifesting that this sūtra surpasses other sūtras. 'Is not the foremost pāramitā' means that it is not what other people can attain; non-conceptual wisdom realizes the principle of selflessness, which only the Buddhas of the ten directions attain, while other people cannot. 'Is called the foremost pāramitā' means that it is attained solely by Buddhas. Asaṅga's commentary states: 'the foremost pāramitā' means that prajñā is the most supreme among the other five.
