2.72

又《涅槃》說初依菩薩逢五恒沙佛，第二依六恒沙，乃至第四依菩薩逢八恒沙佛，其第四依者即第十地菩薩，故知二僧祇逢無量佛也。然有宗說，初僧祇逢七萬五千佛，第二僧祇逢七萬六千佛，第三僧祇逢七萬七千佛也。

Furthermore, the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra] says that a bodhisattva of the first reliance encounters five Ganges sands of Buddhas, the second reliance six Ganges sands, up to the bodhisattva of the fourth reliance encountering eight Ganges sands of Buddhas; the fourth reliance is the tenth-bhūmi bodhisattva. Therefore we know that during two asaṃkhyeyas one encounters immeasurable Buddhas. However, the Sarvāstivāda school says that in the first asaṃkhyeya he encountered 75,000 Buddhas, in the second asaṃkhyeya 76,000 Buddhas, and in the third asaṃkhyeya 77,000 Buddhas.
