Sakṛdāgāmin is translated here as 'once-returner'. Having severed the six grades of afflictions of cultivation in the desire realm, when his life here ends, he goes once to the heavens and returns once to the human realm, whereupon he attains the fruit of an arhat; hence he is called 'once-returner'. As for 'in reality there is no coming', having already awakened to selflessness, who could go or come?
