Anāgāmin is translated here as 'non-returner' (bulai), and also called 'non-returner' (buhuan). Having completely severed the nine grades of afflictions of cultivation in the desire realm, when his life ends he goes once to the heavens and never returns to the lower realm; hence he is called 'non-returner'. As for 'in reality there is no non-returning', the meaning is the same as the previous explanation.
