捨身之苦已感人心，何況更聞不及持說？是故悲淚。論云「念彼身苦，尊重法故悲淚。」慧眼，人空也，未聞法空也。

The suffering of relinquishing the body already moves people's hearts; how much more hearing that it does not equal upholding and explaining? For this reason he wept tears. The commentary says: "Thinking of the suffering of that body and revering the Dharma, he therefore wept tears." The wisdom eye is the emptiness of persons; he had not yet heard the emptiness of dharmas.
