2.82

善慧彼時都無所得，離諸分別，由無法故得記。若有法者，是有相心，不順菩提，佛不與記。

At that time, Sumati had nothing whatsoever attained and was free from all discriminations; it was because there was no dharma that he received the prediction. If there were a dharma, that would be a mind with marks, which does not accord with bodhi, and the Buddha would not have bestowed the prediction.
