The Treatise says: "The dust being smashed into powder, it is therefore not in one place; because the multitude of dust aggregates, it is therefore not in different places. In this way, the Buddha abides in the dharmadhātu neither abiding in one place nor abiding in different places." Furthermore, if the multitude of dust particles were real existents, worldly worldlings would also naturally know this; what need would there be for the Buddha to speak of it? It is simply because they do not know that its substance is unestablished that the Buddha spoke of it. Thus Asaṅga says: "The World-Honoured One speaks of 'not' because the substance of this aggregation is unestablished. If it were otherwise, even without the Buddha speaking of it, one would naturally know it is an aggregation."
