Everything the Buddha speaks corresponds to the fact. Now speaking of realizing the fruit, how could there be doubt that it is otherwise? Speaking of what is true refers to speaking of the Tathāgata's body and the Dharma of great bodhi, for it is true wisdom. Speaking of what is real refers to speaking of the Hinayāna Four Truths, for 'truth' conveys the meaning of reality. Speaking of what is as it is refers to speaking of the Mahāyāna teaching having tathatā, which the Hinayāna lacks. Speaking of what is not different refers to speaking of prophecies in the three times and so forth, without any discrepancy. The Buddha uses these four statements not to deceive sentient beings; therefore, the Qin translation adds 'speaks of what is not deceitful'.
