Asaṅga says: "In order that the expounding of the Dharma be undefiled, and because there is such great benefit, one decisively expounds it; expounding it in this way is precisely without defilement." As for "how should one explain it," etc., it shows that it is inexpressible; if it were otherwise, it would be a defiled exposition, on account of inverted meaning. Furthermore, when expounding, not seeking faith or respect is also expounding the Dharma without defilement. Dayun says: "If one can explain the Dharma of real mark without thoughts of arising and ceasing, it is like that tathatā; therefore it is said 'unmoving like suchness'." Furthermore, mind is like suchness, and objects are like suchness, hence 'like suchness'. Being unmoving means being undefiled.
