詮表下。釋契字。詮表義理，釋契理也。謂說事如事、說理如理。云云。契合人心，釋契機也。謂令人有所悟解歡喜信受。云云。斯則契理契機之經，依主釋也。文雖是倒，意以經是能契也。

"Expressing..." Below: explaining the word "matching" (qì). Expressing the meaning and principle explains matching principle (qì lǐ). That is, speaking of facts as facts, and speaking of principle as principle, and so forth. Matching people's minds explains matching capacity (qì jī). That is, causing people to have awakening and understanding, and to joyfully believe and accept, and so forth. Thus it is a scripture that matches principle and matches capacity, a tatpuruṣa compound. Although the phrasing is inverted, the intention is that the scripture is what matches.
