3.127

欲入下。釋成住義。雖三賢位中亂修六度經一無數劫，欲入聖道要佛策發，故於資糧位後立加行名。其猶鑽火，火欲出時倍加功力。遇佛然燈佛也。得無所得者，即然燈與善慧授記，當得作佛號釋迦牟尼，非佛與法故云無得。

From "wishing to enter..." downward explains the meaning of abiding. Although during the stages of the three grades of worthies one practices the six pāramitās mixedly over the course of one incalculable eon, wishing to enter the noble path requires the Buddha's encouragement; therefore, after the stage of provisions, the name "preparatory application" is established. It is like drilling for fire: when the fire is about to emerge, one doubles one's efforts. "Encountering a Buddha" refers to Dīpaṃkara Buddha. "Attaining non-attainment" refers to Dīpaṃkara's conferring the prophecy upon Sumati that he would become a Buddha named Śākyamuni; because it was not that the Buddha gave him a phenomenon, it is said to be "non-attainment."
