Regarding "free from the imagined": not grasping false marks as real. Hence the Vijñaptimātratā states, "The thoroughly established nature is, with respect to that, perpetually free from the former nature." Regarding the "true physical body": there are two meanings. First, taking the false as false, simply according with the fact, without necessarily grasping the unarisen and unceasing as true. Just as taking the moon in the water as the moon in the water, though resembling [the true], it is not true. Hence the Avataṃsaka Sūtra states, "Seeing the real in what is real, seeing the unreal in what is unreal; understanding the marks of dharmas like this is what is called a Buddha." Second, it means that marks are identical to marklessness and share the same dharmakāya; gathering the branch back to the root is called the true physical body, which is true, wholesome, wondrous form. Hence the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra states, "My present body is indeed the eternal body, the dharmakāya, the adamantine indestructible body."
