本疑下。疏以斷疑之文，照前呈疑之處，是顯空生疑於惡世無信也。前引魏經以證斯義，惡世尚爾況餘世耶。

"The original doubt..." below: the commentary uses the text severing doubts to illuminate the place where the doubt was previously presented, which reveals that Subhūti doubted that there would be faith in an evil age. The previous citation of the Wei translation was to substantiate this meaning: if it is so even in an evil age, how much more so in other ages?
