4.24

人畜各四者，人四者，毘舍佉母卵生三十二子，胎生常人，濕即奈女從菴羅樹濕氣而生，化生即劫初之人。故《俱舍》云：「二禪福將盡，下生贍部州。」

Regarding "humans and animals each have four": for humans having four, mother Viśākhā was egg-born with thirty-two sons; ordinary humans are womb-born; moisture-born is the Mango Maiden born from the moisture of a mango tree; transformationally born refers to humans at the beginning of the kalpa. Thus the Kośa says: "When the merit of the Second Dhyāna is about to end, they are born down into Jambudvīpa."
