4.260

三乘下。結通諸乘。以二乘之人亦分證真理，故此通攝也。是知三乘賢聖皆修證無為，所證雖無淺深，能證有其差別。猶如三獸同度一河，能度有差，所度無別。故《大品》云：「欲求聲聞乘，當學般若波羅蜜，欲求緣覺、菩薩、無上佛乘，皆言當學般若波羅蜜。」是故經云：「一切賢聖也。」

[On the passage beginning] "The three vehicles...": concluding by encompassing all vehicles. Because practitioners of the two vehicles also partially realize the true principle, they are comprehensively included here. Thus we know that the worthies and nobles of the three vehicles all cultivate and realize asaṃskṛta; though what is realized has neither shallowness nor depth, the agents of realization have distinctions. It is just as three beasts crossing the same river: the agents of crossing differ, but what is crossed is no different. Therefore the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā says: "One who wishes to seek the śrāvaka vehicle should train in prajñāpāramitā; one who wishes to seek the pratyekabuddha, bodhisattva, or unexcelled Buddha vehicle," all say one should train in prajñāpāramitā. Hence the sūtra says: "all worthies and nobles."
