同體者，同一真如性故。故《起信》論云：「謂如實知一切眾生及與己身，真如平等無別異。」
"Same substance": because they share the same tathatā-nature. Therefore the Treatise on the Awakening of Faith states: 'Namely, truly knowing that all sentient beings as well as one's own body are equal in tathatā without distinction.'
