4.8

前二句標，謂住下釋。謂度生無我，是住中降伏也。施不住相，是修中降伏也。由斯義故降伏為總也。

The first two lines indicate, and from "abiding" downward explains. That delivering sentient beings is without self is the subduing within abiding. That giving does not abide in characteristics is the subduing within cultivation. By this meaning, subduing is the general.
