彼住下。顯失也。意明本欲嚴淨，如何却生染心，以住色等即生死心，何名淨耶？
From "Their abiding" downward reveals the error. The meaning clarifies that originally one wished to adorn and purify, so how could one instead produce a defiled mind? Because abiding in form and so forth is the mind of saṃsāra, how could it be called pure?
