速證等者。意明持說此經，速證菩提之法，所以超過如來事多世尊之福。故偈云：「福不至菩提，二能至菩提」也。

"Swiftly realizing, etc.": the intent is to clarify that upholding and expounding this sūtra is the Dharma of swiftly realizing bodhi, which is why it surpasses the Tathāgata's merit of serving many World-Honoured Ones. Hence the verse says: 'Merit does not lead to bodhi; the two can lead to bodhi.'
