釋所以。經徵意，同前。釋云：如來說莊嚴佛土者，非有能嚴所嚴。則嚴與不嚴等無有二，是真嚴也。今既異此，故非菩薩。

"Explaining the reason." The sūtra's questioning inquiry is the same as before. The explanation says: What the Tathāgata speaks of as adorning Buddha lands does not involve an adorning agent or an adorned object. Then adorning and not adorning are equal without duality; this is true adorning. Now, since [the thought] diverges from this, one is not a bodhisattva.
