根本等者。應云阿梨耶識在種子位時，為一切法作種子根本，以一切諸法從種子生故。
"Fundamental," etc., means: it should be stated that the ālayavijñāna, when in the state of seeds, acts as the root of seeds for all phenomena, because all phenomena arise from seeds.
