遮寂者。即二乘人灰身滅智撥喪無餘，被涅槃所拘是不自在。今以不具相發心，正墮於此，為對治故偏示一門。下文菩薩不受福德，即不住生死，義則圓矣。

"Precluding quiescence": disciples of the two vehicles reduce the body to ashes and extinguish cognition, obliterating everything without remainder; being bound by nirvāṇa, they lack mastery. Now, generating the mind while denying complete marks falls directly into this; to counter it, one approach is indicated one-sidedly. Below, the bodhisattva not accepting merit corresponds to not abiding in saṃsāra, and the meaning is then complete.
