On "These constant attendants..." and so forth: because all these people had previously served outside teachings and endured hardships for repeated kalpas without realizing anything, yet upon merely meeting the Buddha immediately attained the supreme fruit, they were deeply grateful for the Buddha's kindness and therefore constantly attended him. However, the four assemblies as well as the dragons, devas, and others were present; here, only one is shown and the rest are concealed.
