1.130

此斷釋迦然燈授受之疑，謂善現迷己所證離著，固已得矣，而如來又恐善現疑佛昔受然燈之記於法實有所得，故興此問。善現答以實無所得，是無疑矣。

This severs the doubt regarding the transmission between Śākyamuni and Dīpaṃkara. That is, Subhūti, in not being confused about his own realization being free from attachment, had already grasped it; yet the Tathāgata also feared that Subhūti might doubt whether, when the Buddha formerly received the prediction from Dīpaṃkara, he in reality had attained something with respect to the Dharma; therefore he raised this question. Subhūti answered that in reality he attained nothing, so there is no doubt.
