「須菩提！於意云何？如來有肉眼不？」「如是，世尊！如來有肉眼。」「須菩提！於意云何？如來有天眼不？」「如是，世尊！如來有天眼。」「須菩提！於意云何？如來有慧眼不？」「如是，世尊！如來有慧眼。」「須菩提！於意云何？如來有法眼不？」「如是，世尊！如來有法眼。」「須菩提！於意云何？如來有佛眼不？」「如是，世尊！如來有佛眼。」「須菩提！於意云何？如恒河中所有沙，佛說是沙不？」「如是，世尊！如來說是沙。」「須菩提！於意云何？如一恒河中所有沙，有如是沙等恒河，是諸恒河所有沙數佛世界，如是寧為多不？」「甚多，世尊！」佛告須菩提：「爾所國土中所有眾生若干種心，如來悉知。何以故？如來說諸心皆為非心，是名為心。所以者何？須菩提！過去心不可得，現在心不可得，未來心不可得。」

"Subhūti! What do you think? Does the Tathāgata have the physical eye or not?" "So it is, Bhagavat! The Tathāgata has the physical eye." "Subhūti! What do you think? Does the Tathāgata have the divine eye or not?" "So it is, Bhagavat! The Tathāgata has the divine eye." "Subhūti! What do you think? Does the Tathāgata have the wisdom eye or not?" "So it is, Bhagavat! The Tathāgata has the wisdom eye." "Subhūti! What do you think? Does the Tathāgata have the Dharma eye or not?" "So it is, Bhagavat! The Tathāgata has the Dharma eye." "Subhūti! What do you think? Does the Tathāgata have the Buddha eye or not?" "So it is, Bhagavat! The Tathāgata has the Buddha eye." "Subhūti! What do you think? Does the Buddha speak of whatever sands there are in the Gaṅgā River as sand or not?" "So it is, Bhagavat! The Tathāgata speaks of them as sand." "Subhūti! What do you think? If there were as many Gaṅgā Rivers as the sands in one Gaṅgā River, and there were Buddha worlds as numerous as the sands in all these Gaṅgā Rivers, would these be considered many or not?" "Extremely many, Bhagavat!" The Buddha told Subhūti: "The Tathāgata fully knows all the various kinds of minds of all the sentient beings in that many lands. Why is this? The Tathāgata explains that all minds are not mind; this is called mind. What is the reason for this? Subhūti! Past mind cannot be apprehended, present mind cannot be apprehended, and future mind cannot be apprehended."
