1.231

善現解空第一，與般若空慧相應，以慧為命，故稱慧命。前云身乃非身之身、法乃非說而說，身、說俱妙，難信難解，所以有此疑問。

Subhūti is foremost in understanding emptiness; he is in accord with the wisdom of prajñā's emptiness and takes wisdom as his life, and is therefore called "Venerable" (Āyuṣmat). Earlier it was said that the body is the body of non-body, and the Dharma is preached through non-preaching; both the body and the preaching are wondrous, difficult to believe and difficult to understand, which is why he has this doubt and question.
