上言如如不動，則佛常住世間，為眾生說法，何故言如來入涅槃耶？恐有此疑，故說偈以釋云：
It was said above that [the Buddha] is unmoving like suchness; thus the Buddha always abides in the world and expounds the Dharma for sentient beings. Why, then, is it said that the Tathāgata enters nirvāṇa? Fearing this doubt might arise, the verse is spoken to explain:
