第五、分文解釋者，經文有三：初序分、二正宗、三流通。序有二種：一證信序、二發起序。初證信序。興所由者，阿㝹樓馱教彼阿難問其未來四法：一問經首安何字。二問未來以何為師？用戒為師。三問未來弟子依何而住？依四念處住。第四惡性人云何共住？以梵壇治之。又約佛序及弟子序、現在序、未來序等，思以準之不勞繁解。

Fifth, dividing and interpreting the text: The sūtra text has three parts: first, the introductory section; second, the main doctrinal section; third, the dissemination section. The introduction has two kinds: first, the introduction attesting to credibility; second, the initiating introduction. First, the introduction attesting to credibility. As for the occasion of its arising: Aniruddha instructed Ānanda to ask about four dharmas for the future: first, asking what words should be placed at the head of the sūtras. Second, asking who should be the teacher in the future: take the precepts as the teacher. Third, asking where future disciples should abide: abide relying on the four applications of mindfulness. Fourth, how to dwell together with people of evil nature: subdue them with the Brahmadaṇḍa. Furthermore, regarding the Buddha's introduction and disciples' introduction, present introduction, future introduction, and so forth, consider them accordingly without needing tedious explanation.
