「何以故？須菩提！若菩薩有眾生相即非菩薩。何以故非？須菩提！若菩薩起眾生相、人相、壽者相則不名菩薩。」
"Why? Subhūti, if a bodhisattva has the notion of a sentient being, they are not a bodhisattva. Why are they not? Subhūti, if a bodhisattva gives rise to the notion of a sentient being, the notion of a person, or the notion of a life-span, then they are not called a bodhisattva."
