In the second [part], harmonizing the practice of direct recompense, there are five textual sections: first, bringing up an example as an analogy; second, determining whether it is so or not; third, Subhūti's reply; fourth, question and answer revealing the correct meaning; fifth, the reiteration and conclusion. When the text says that Mount Sumeru, king of mountains, is great: because its height and breadth are vast, it is named great, yet it grasps no self. This mountain king is without conceptual discrimination, and the Buddha is also like this: because the unsurpassed Dharma King is without conceptual discrimination, the Buddha explains that non-body is named a great body, owing to the absence of conceptual marks. That body is a non-body: it is not a body with outflows. "Therefore it is named a great body": because it possesses a pure body.
