From "There are further ten..." downward is the third part, clarifying the ten dedications. Some versions have: "Furthermore, good sons! Cultivating the upper patient submission and entering the path of equality is called the stage of the path disposition." The text has four parts: now, the first states the stage. This means that intending to enter the first ground, one is able to act as the causal nature for the noble path; hence it is called the path disposition. From "namely, contemplating form" downward is the second part, identifying the substance. The text has three parts: first, clarifying that among the five patiences, first enumerating the five aggregates are the phenomena to be contemplated. From "attaining moral discipline" downward is the contemplating wisdom. By contemplating the aggregate of form, one then attains the patience of moral discipline, because both unmanifest and manifest moral discipline are the aggregate of form. In accordance with this sūtra text, both manifest and unmanifest moral discipline are subsumed under form. Contemplating the aggregate of consciousness, one attains the patience of knowledge and vision, because discerning consciousness and knowledge and vision are similar in category. Contemplating the aggregate of perception, one attains the patience of samādhi, because from inverted perception one can enter into samādhi, just as the heavens of the formless realm are perfected through perception. Contemplating the aggregate of sensation, one attains the patience of wisdom, because based on sensation the four dhyāna heavens are established, and due to dhyāna one can arouse wisdom. Contemplating the aggregate of formations, one attains the patience of liberation, because formations are impermanent, and thus one attains the patience of liberation.
