From “Prajñā of the three vehicles” onward is the second part, explaining again in response to a difficulty. That is to say, previously it spoke of the mother of the Buddha's wisdom, and also spoke of the nature of the mother of fundamental wisdom; fearing people would find it difficult to understand, it therefore now explains again. The text has two: first, explanation in terms of the nature of principle; second, explanation in terms of the nature of practice. Principle is the tathatā mother of wisdom. Now this first part is the explanation in terms of the nature of principle of the aforementioned mother of fundamental wisdom. Second, from “If a bodhisattva is without” onward is the explanation in terms of the nature of practice of the tathatā mother of wisdom. If a bodhisattva learns without words and letters and cultivates without cultivation, they then attain the true wisdom of prajñā. Third, from “Great King, if a bodhisattva” onward concludes the completion of cultivation.
