Question: The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states: "All phenomena are non-existent"; why then does he say 'I'? Answer: Although he knows that all phenomena are non-existent, he accords with convention; in the words circulated in the world, 'I' is conventionally designated, and thus there is no fault.
