1.69

十八下，第二色界天雨百變異色華；第三欲界天雨華中，初明無量華、次明華生九百萬億劫華、次明華所及處也。初放光欲令眾生破闇得明，次現華欲令眾生修因得果也。

From "eighteen" downward, second, the devas of the form realm rain down flowers of a hundred transformed, varied colors; third, within the devas of the desire realm raining down flowers, it first explains the countless flowers, next explains that the flowers grew as flowers of nine hundred million kalpas, and next explains the place reached by the flowers. First, emitting light is intended to cause sentient beings to destroy darkness and obtain light; next, manifesting flowers is intended to cause sentient beings to cultivate causes and attain the fruit.
