2.37

八地四者，初住百萬下，明所化土。二作二禪梵王下，明增上生相。《地經》云「作梵王，王一千界」，《瓔珞經》梵師子瓔珞光光天王。三修百萬下，明所知法門。四雙照方便下，明利他行相，以神通化眾生也。

Regarding the four aspects of the Eighth Bhūmi: First, from "abides in a million" onward, it clarifies the lands where transformation takes place. Second, from "becoming a Brahmā king of the Second Dhyāna" onward, it clarifies the marks of superior rebirth. The Bhūmi-sūtra says, "becomes a Brahmā king, ruling over a thousand realms;" the Yingluo jing speaks of the Brahmā Lion Yingluo Radiant Light Deva King. Third, from "cultivates a million" onward, it clarifies the Dharma gates that are known. Fourth, from "illuminates both with expedients" onward, it clarifies the marks of practicing benefit for others, which is using supernormal knowledges to transform sentient beings.
