3.18

「大王！昔有天羅國王，有一太子欲登王位，一名斑足太子。為外道羅陀師受教，應取千王頭以祭塚神。自登其位，已得九百九十九王。少一王，即北行萬里，即得一王名曰普明王。其普明王白斑足王言：『願聽一日飯食沙門，頂禮三寶。』其斑足王許之一日。時普明王即依過去七佛法，請百法師，敷百高座，一日二時講說般若波羅蜜八千億偈竟，其第一法師為普明王而說偈言：」

"Great King! In the past there was the king of the Tianluo Kingdom, who had a crown prince about to ascend the royal throne, named Crown Prince Kalmāṣapāda. Having received teachings from the non-Buddhist master Rādha, he was supposed to take the heads of one thousand kings to sacrifice to the spirit of the burial mound. Ascending his throne, he had already obtained nine hundred and ninety-nine kings. Short of one king, he traveled ten thousand li to the north and obtained a king named King Samantaprabhāsa. That King Samantaprabhāsa said to King Kalmāṣapāda: 'I pray that you grant me one day to feed śramaṇas and pay homage to the Triratna.' King Kalmāṣapāda granted him one day. Thereupon King Samantaprabhāsa, relying upon the Dharma of the seven buddhas of the past, invited one hundred Dharma masters, arranged one hundred high seats, and twice a day expounded eight hundred billion verses of the prajñāpāramitā. When finished, the first Dharma master spoke verses for King Samantaprabhāsa, saying:"
