明慧下，第三地，文有五別：初標名、二忍名、三智斷、四進行時節、五結位。第一標名者，文云明慧道人也。第二標忍名，文云無相忍中行者，明信忍上品也。言三明者，照三世無生，故云無來無去無住處。三世不可得，觀盡於緣；心心寂滅，緣盡於觀也。第三智斷者，文云盡三界癡煩惱也。第四進行時節者，六阿僧祇，足前五為六也。第五結位，文云入伽羅陀位者，此云度邊地也。

From “Luminous Wisdom” onward addresses the third bhūmi. The text has five parts: first, identifying the name; second, the name of the patience; third, wisdom and eradication; fourth, the duration of progressive practice; fifth, concluding the stage. First, identifying the name: the text says “practitioner of Luminous Wisdom.” Second, identifying the name of the patience: the text says “practices within the patience of signlessness,” clarifying the superior grade of the patience of faith. As for “the three vidyās,” illuminating the non-arising of the three periods of time, hence it says “having neither coming, nor going, nor dwelling place.” The three periods of time are unobtainable; contemplation exhausts conditions. Thought-moment after thought-moment is tranquil and extinguished; conditions exhaust contemplation. Third, wisdom and eradication: the text says “exhausting the affliction of delusion in the three realms.” Fourth, the duration of progressive practice: “six asaṃkhyeya [kalpas],” adding to the previous five to make six. Fifth, concluding the stage: the text says “enters the stage of galatuo”; this is translated as “crossing over the borderlands.”
