3.14

"Great King! It not only protects blessings, but also protects against various difficulties. If there are the distress and difficulty of illness, being bound and shackled by manacles, fetters, pillories, and chains, having broken the four grave prohibitions, having committed the causes for the five heinous sins, having committed the sins leading to the eight difficulties, or undergoing the matters of the six destinies and all immeasurable sufferings and difficulties, one should also expound and chant this sūtra; the ritual method is as explained above."
