釋曰：第五、優婆夷眾。文別有四：一標數辨類、二略辨行位、三別讚功德、四總結功德。此即初也。淨信女者，是優婆夷，依正梵音鄔波斯迦，此云近事女，廣釋如前。

Explanation: Fifth, the assembly of upāsikās. In the text there are specifically four parts: first, indicating the number and identifying the category; second, briefly discerning their stages of practice; third, specifically praising their virtues; fourth, summarizing their virtues. This is the first. 'Pure, faithful women' are upāsikās; according to the correct Sanskrit pronunciation, upāsikā, which is rendered here as 'women who serve near', as explained extensively before.
