問：解脫、勝處、遍處，有何差別？答：能有棄背名解脫，能勝伏境名勝處，能廣所緣名遍處。廣如《婆沙》八十四五。

Question: What is the distinction among liberations, bases of mastery, and universal bases? Answer: Being able to turn away and abandon is called liberation; being able to master and overcome objects is called a base of mastery; being able to expand the object is called a universal base. This is detailed in fascicles eighty-four and eighty-five of the Vibhāṣā.
