問：此三慧，如來、獨覺及以聲聞，各有幾種？答：佛具三種，而修慧勝，以自然覺及具力無畏等修功德故。獨覺亦具三，而思慧勝，以自思惟覺而無力無畏等修功德故。聲聞亦具三，而聞慧勝，以從聞他音入聖道故。

Question: Regarding these three wisdoms, how many kinds do the Tathāgata, pratyekabuddhas, and śrāvakas each possess? Answer: A Buddha possesses all three kinds, but cultivation wisdom is superior, because he is awakened spontaneously and possesses cultivated merits such as the powers and fearlessnesses. A pratyekabuddha also possesses all three, but reflective wisdom is superior, because he awakens through his own reflection yet lacks cultivated merits such as the powers and fearlessnesses. A śrāvaka also possesses all three, but hearing wisdom is superior, because he enters the noble path from hearing the voice of another.
