問：何等眾生依空依地而住？答：他方依空，此方依地。或可實眾依地，化眾依空。或聖依空，凡眾依地。或可他力接凡亦在空。隨樂隨通，故分兩處。

Question: Which sentient beings dwelt relying on space, and which on the ground? Answer: Those of other realms relied on space; those of this realm relied on the ground. Or, the real assembly relied on the ground, while the transformed assembly relied on space. Or, the noble ones relied on space, while the ordinary assembly relied on the ground. Or, the power of others carried the ordinary worldlings so that they were also in space. According to their preference and their spiritual powers, they were thus divided into two places.
