釋曰：第四、歡喜供養。言大事因緣者，如《智度論》第九卷云「佛說般若，無央數眾生當續佛種，是為大事因緣。」又七十四云「須菩提白佛言：世尊！般若為大事故起。龍樹釋云：能破眾生諸大煩惱、能與諸佛無上大法，名為大事。」言即散百億眾色華者，表能護行成，引生勝果。言變成百億寶帳蓋諸大眾者，表所護果滿，覆育群生。

Commentary: Fourth, rejoicing and making offerings. Regarding "great matter and cause and condition," as the Dazhidulun, fascicle nine, says: "When the Buddha preaches prajñā, innumerable sentient beings will continue the Buddha-seed; this is the great matter and cause and condition." Again, fascicle seventy-four says: "Subhūti said to the Buddha: 'World-Honoured One! Prajñā arises for the sake of a great matter.' Nāgārjuna explained: 'Being able to break the great afflictions of sentient beings and being able to bestow upon all buddhas the unsurpassed great Dharma is called a great matter.'" The words "he immediately scattered ten billion multicolored flowers" represent that the protecting practice is accomplished, bringing forth the sublime fruit. The words "transformed into ten billion jeweled canopies covering the great assembly" represent that the protected fruit is complete, covering and nurturing all sentient beings.
