Explanation: Second, the person-emptiness of the transformed. This means that, based on the five aggregates, one imputes a self and takes it to be a sentient being, a self, a person, and so forth; these exist subjectively but are absent in principle, so they are spoken of as empty. Or, based on the aggregates, one imputes a self as permanent, blissful, self, and pure; or, based on the aggregates, one appropriately imputes the consciousness-aggregate as the knower, a portion of the form-aggregate (the eye) as the seer, and a portion of the formations-aggregate (vital life-force, etc.) as the living being; these too exist subjectively but are absent in principle, and because they are conceptually grasped, they are spoken of as the emptiness of persons. The agreements and differences among the various schools are as explained in their doctrines.
