Commentary: Third, there is one verse explaining the Stage of Radiant Wisdom. The text has three sections: first, indicating the name and assigning the stage; next, the breadth or narrowness of the transformed lands, which can be known from the sūtra; and last, revealing the specific practice of the bhūmi. "The mind of patience" is the contemplating wisdom itself. "Non-dual" means being free from the two characteristics of existence and non-existence, using non-duality itself as the third truth. "Emerging from existence" means emerging from existence in the three realms. "Entering non-existence" means leaving behind portioned existence and entering manifestation-birth. "Manifestation-birth" is transformative saṃsāra. How is it known that in the third bhūmi one emerges from existence and enters non-existence, and that manifestation-birth is transformative saṃsāra? The explanation says: As in the Prakaraṇāryavācā, transformative saṃsāra is also called "manifestation." Furthermore, the third bhūmi is the stage of cultivating concentration among giving, morality, and cultivation; through the power of edge concentration, one receives transformative birth, and therefore we know that in the third bhūmi one receives transformative birth.
