釋曰：第二、五偈合釋二忍。文別有二：初有四偈別釋三品、後有一偈斷惑分齊。前中有三：初一偈平釋等觀地、次一偈文釋慧光地、後一偈半釋灌頂位。就等觀中，文別有四：一標名配位、二顯其勝用、三化土寬狹、四顯地別行。此即第一標名配位。

Commentary: Second, five verses jointly explain the two patiences. The text has two parts: first, four verses separately explain the three grades; second, one verse explains the extent of cutting off delusions. In the first part there are three sections: first, one verse simply explains the Equal Contemplation bhūmi; next, one verse explains the Wisdom Light bhūmi; and finally, one and a half verses explain the Coronation stage. Within Equal Contemplation, the text has four parts: 1) designating the name and matching it to the stage; 2) revealing its superior function; 3) the extent of the transformation realm; 4) revealing the distinct practice of the bhūmi. This is the first, designating the name and matching it to the stage.
