The commentary states: From here on, third, praising the Buddha's three karmas. There are five distinct parts in the text: first, two lines generally praising the three karmas; second, one verse separately praising the three karmas; third, half a verse praising the fearlessness of his preaching; fourth, half a verse praising his ability to shake the earth; fifth, half a verse praising the Buddha's delightful preaching. In the general praise, the first line generally praises the three karmas, and the subsequent line demonstrates one's own taking of refuge and paying of homage. Regarding 'the virtues of the three karmas are boundless': as explained before, physical karma is firm, mental karma is tranquil, and vocal karma is capable of preaching—all are inexhaustible, and thus are called 'boundless.' For this reason, 'I now pay homage to the Three Jewels.'
